Squid Game

> You people are horses, horses at a racetrack. We bet on you. I'm going to be completely honest and say that I'm too attached to this damn show and it's characters that I cannot give it a rating below 80. I wouldn't say the show has perfect writing or pacing, but the highs are extremely high.

The show was amazing but season 3 did not turn out to be as good as expected

Squid Game (Season 1) is a gripping South Korean thriller that blends intense social commentary with pulse-pounding drama. The story follows 456 desperate contestants competing in deadly children’s games for a massive cash prize, exposing the brutal extremes of capitalism and human desperation. Hwang Dong-hyuk’s sharp writing and direction, paired with standout performances—especially Lee Jung-jae as the flawed Seong Gi-hun—create a visceral, emotionally charged experience. The vibrant visuals and haunting score amplify the tension, though some plot twists feel predictable. It’s a provocative, binge-worthy series that lingers long after the credits roll. 4.5/5 stars.
