Retired criminal journalist, Rein de Kort, investigates the dangerous Amsterdam underworld. Romano, Pencil and The Pope rise quickly to take control of Amsterdam's cocaine trade, but jealousy tears their union apart. The Pope joins his old friend, Tatta, to rip off Romano and Pencil. The deal fails, killing two of The Pope's men, and igniting an overdue gang war on the streets of Amsterdam.

Three former friends battle for supremacy in the Amsterdam underworld as they face dangerous new enemies, chase new criminal opportunities and fight to settle old scores.

The search for Romano continues. In the meantime, De Paus is busy getting a large shipment of coke out of the harbor. Tatta is put in charge and runs the operation from a holiday park. Adil is sitting with his lawyer Edith Roodschild at his first session and is slightly tense. Taxi's choices from the past continue to haunt him, while the field of work expands to the Bijlmer. Justice decides to launch the counterattack.

Tonnano gives orders to find Komtgoed. Samira is haunted both indoors and out by the aftermath of Mo the Show's shooting. Tatta and Paus pull out all the stops to find the Mexicans who were behind the torture container.

While Tonnano and Samira hunt Tatta, Paus confers with Tia. Meanwhile, the tension between Taxi and Van Jaren rises and Adil and Meltem look for a way forward.

As the end approaches, unexpected alliances form and old feuds are fought out. The main question this season: who will be the last one standing in this ruthless underworld and who will be put to rest?
