Furniture restorers, horologists, metal workers, ceramicists, upholsterers and all manner of skilled craftsmen and women have been brought together to work in one extraordinary space, restoring much-loved possessions to their former glory.

Antique furniture restorer Will Kirk tests his carpentry skills on a 50-year-old wooden flying fish that may have been carved by a descendent of one the mutineers from HMS Bounty. And accordion expert Roger Thomas wrestles with an 80-year-old instrument that was played in the bomb shelters of London during the Blitz.

Horologist Steve Fletcher’s knowledge of dials, numbers and needles is called upon to resurrect a very unusual object that has been broken for over 30 years. Owner Simon arrives at the barn with a defunct speedometer from his 1920s vintage car. An engineer himself, he has worked on every element of his beloved car, but getting the speedometer to work has defeated him. There’s nothing else for it but to dismantle the entire unit and do some major figuring out. Basketry specialist Sarah Hatton undertakes the repair of a wicker baby crib that has been at the heart of a family for generations.

Metal expert Dominic Chinea and furniture upholsterer Sonnaz Nooranvary join forces to restore a machinist's chair that links a lover of needlework with her seamstress grandmother. Owner Tara never met her grandmother but was gifted the chair when her grandparents passed away. Ceramics conservator Kirsten Ramsay turns her hand to papier mache when she restores a black and white dog that has spent decades in his master's hallway, reminding him of his long and exciting career in the music industry.
