A magazine-style television series on BBC1 which was broadcast from May 1973 to June 1994, presented by Esther Rantzen, with various changes of co-presenters. The show presented hard-hitting investigations alongside satire and occasional light entertainment.

Season 19
A mixture of hard-hitting investigations and real life humour. In the first programme, Esther Rantzen launches Britain's biggest search for a new singing star. Eleven years ago, she discovered Sheena Easton and helped launch her successful career. Also in the studio are Gavin Campbell, Howard Leader and Kevin Devine - and the intrepid Doc Cox is touring the country taking revenge on some maddening machines.
Season 20
In a bid to discover the most talented town in Britain, Esther has scoured the country filming spoon players, male strippers and singing dogs. Viewers will make the final choice. There is also the premiere of Tom Jones's latest video - All You Need Is Love - the song he and Dave Stewart recorded to raise money for the charity ChildLine.
Season 21
In a special report to mark the beginning of its 21st series, That's Life! examines the causes of fire in the home and offers advice on devising an escape plan. With Esther Rantzen, Gavin Campbell and Adrian Mills.
