Saving Hope

In the premiere episode, the Chief of Surgery ends up in a coma, and his fiancée and fellow surgeons fight to save his life.

Alex and Charlie are caught in the middle of a shooting on their way to their first shift back at Hope Zion. In the midst of the commotion, Alex treats a bullied teenager and deals with her own emotions about everything that’s happened in the past year. Meanwhile, Charlie is caught off guard when he realizes that he’s still able to see the spirits of deceased patients. As well, new Chief of Surgery Joel works alongside Charlie’s ex-wife Dawn to perform an intense surgery.

Alex was stabbed in the chest and Charlie sees her as ghost. Alex realizes she saw her father hang himself. Joel has issues with himself about Alex. Maggie end hers and Gavin's relationship. Alex end up in coma and remains ghost.

On her first day back from maternity leave, Dr. Alex Reid has her hands full when a new mother comes in following a car accident.

In Season 5, as Alex grapples with her destiny, Hope Zion’s doctors are thrust into turmoil as they face new challenges and a new CEO, who threatens to make cuts that may affect the livelihood of the hospital and everything they hold dear.
