The Snorks is an animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera which ran on NBC from September 15, 1984, to May 13, 1989. Although not as popular as the animated series The Smurfs, the program continued to be available in syndication from 1986 to 1989 as part of The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera's 3rd season, on USA Network in the late-1980s and early-1990s, on the BBC in the late 1990s, and from 2009–2011 and again from 2012–Present on Boomerang.

Season 1
1984 • 26 Episodes
Snorkland gets ready for a big Steam Festival, which is voluntarily called off due to a steam shortage. There is a reward for 5000 pearls for anyone who can go to the Source and try to restore the town's steam. The Snorks, along with Junior, travel to the Source where they find out that a space rocket particle had fallen on the steam source when a rocket blasted off into space a little while earlier.
Season 2
1985 • 20 Episodes
Dimmy is very sick from Snorkitis. Galeo diagnoses it and as Tooter describes, Dimmy, Tooter catches it. Then everyone in Snorkland gets sick. Galeo wants All-Star to finish what he started a while back. He gets help from Casey and they try to get Galeo to read the notes for them. Galeo then finds the cure in snork bubbles. The Governor then recognizes Galeo as a hero.
Season 3
1987 • 26 Episodes
On a field trip, the Snorks get swallowed by a whale. As they split up to find some means of escape, Junior finds a lot of treasure. All-Star tries to teach them all how to work together.
Season 4
1988 • 36 Episodes
While looking for both Daffney and Tooter, All-Star, Casey and Corky are caught by three ogres and are used as bait. They buy time while Daffney and Tooter try their best to get help. Daffney then disguises herself as a ghost to help her friends. Her plan fails and the ogres start arguing over who's gonna eat who. The Snorks escape to safety. Daffney finds out that she can do anything if she puts her mind to it.

This was a cartoon that only the 80s could provide. You can almost hear the pitch for it "Imagine the Smurfs, underwater, for the MTV generation." And that is kind of exactly what you got, the smurfs that did more than that annoying "la la la" song, set underwater, in a vibrant 80s color world. What kid couldn't love that?
