He wants to stay outside and watch television, but Emily Elizabeth wants to have fun playing in the sprinkler outside. Evan is lured outside by the prospect of impressing a cute girl, but he spends so much time trying to impress her that he doesn't pay any attention to what Emily Elizabeth or puppy Clifford want to do. She can't find it anywhere and so Clifford decides to help. Emily Elizabeth's pet rabbit Daffodil doesn't think much of his efforts, but he keeps at them and eventually finds the sock in

When their rather large new playmate, Bruno, plays a little rough, Clifford and Jorge start avoiding him. But then they realize how much they've hurt his feelings and decide to tell him the truth. The kids start a neighborhood newspaper.
