Simone is excited to move into her dorm and start navigating life on her own terms, but her past choices present unexpected setbacks. Eager to turn the baseball team around, Damon and Coach Marcus are thrown an even bigger curve ball than they were anticipating. Meanwhile, Amara faces the consequences of her actions, and what that means for her future.

After the holiday break, Simone returns to Bringston ready to focus solely on tennis and learns what it’s really like to be top six. Damon is faced with a decision he’s been putting off since before the holidays. Frustrated with how Cam is treating her, Keisha reverts to her old ways and throws a last-minute New Year’s Eve party. Meanwhile, Amara and Coach Marcus try to adjust to their new environments and challenges.

Simone is concerned about changes taking place at Bringston and wants to bring attention to the issues, but things don't go as expected; Marcus seeks advice from an unlikely source; JR makes a decision about his future.
