Season 4
Beginning a fourth season: U.S. military officers discuss a 1980 sighting of an unidentified flying craft near a U.S. air base in England. Also: the murders of two Texas teens reportedly involved with a cult; a Nashville, Tenn., woman's discovery about her parentage.

A seventh season opens with reports on the origins of the bizarre Ice Man creature, once exhibited at the 1968 Chicago Stock Fair; coincidences linking adoptees with their birth families; the probe into a biochemist's mysterious death in 1953.
Season 8
The eighth season opens with reports on new theories concerning the mysterious deaths of actors Bruce Lee and his son Brandon. Other segments focus on the abduction of an infant girl; the arrests of two fugitives in Oregon and the California manhunt for another.

What we have here is the predecessor of the ID channel, however Robert Stack has a far creepier narration style than anything that ID could hope for. He presents himself as both a scary and deadly serious narrator, and an authority on whatever it is the episode was about.
On top of that, unlike ID, it tried to cover the entire range of the mysterious, appealing as much to the true crime crowd as it does to the Ancient Aliens crowd as it does to the Histories Mysteries crowd as it does to the basic conspiracy theory crowd.
Each episode had enough to appeal to a multitude of people, making it the ultimate series in its genre.
