Very first episode - very different to what the show later became. All the well known cast are not here (and did not arrive until 1974). The only recognisable puppet at this point is Zippy, although his voice isn't what we are used to.

Roy Skelton joins the cast as the voice of Zippy and George.

The first Season with the Best known presenter of the show Geoffrey Hayes, and the more familiar characterisation of Bungle.

He has to find all the animals he can and they have to stay inside his boat, so they're safe. Rod, Jane and Freddy sing "Two By Two".

Zippy, George, Bungle and Geoffrey are going to go for a picnic but it's rains so they decide to have their picnic inside. Zippy and George perform a show for Bungle and Geoffrey and sing "Three Blind Mice". Geoffrey reads a story called 'Home is Best'. Bungle sings "London's Burning" and Zippy, George and Geoffrey join in and they all have their picnic.

Everyone's planting seeds in the garden, but the birds are trying to eat everyone's seeds. Geoffrey reads a story called 'The Mouse And The Miller'. Bungle thinks singing will scare away the birds, but Zippy thinks making a windmill is a better idea. George makes a scarecrow of Zippy looking angry and it scares the birds away, but Geoffrey thinks if they give the birds some bird seeds in a pot it will stop the birds stealing their plant seeds.

It's a hot day and Zippy and George wish that they could be on holiday so everyone pretends that they're going on a trip to Spain. Geoffrey pretends to sell ice cream and then everyone goes to a restaurant where Dawn is the waitress. George, Zippy and Bungle learn some Spanish words and everyone sings "Viva La Espana".
