Season 1
Pørni works for the Child Protection Agency, which does not always make her popular. There is also a lot going on at home. She tries not to let her daughters see that their father is uninterested.
Season 2
Pørni is in a dark place after her break-up with Bjørnar and makes a big mistake at work. Her father criticizes her about her inability to fix things when her private life gets complicated.
Season 3
Christmas is approaching, and so is the first anniversary of Anne's fatal accident. Sigrid has changed her clothing style, and Hanna leaves for her long-announced trip to Buenos Aires. Pørni must prepare for a different kind of Christmas.
Season 4
Pørni returns from a trip to make unexpected discoveries. Hanna wants to move back in, and so does Pørni's new boyfriend — but his daughter does not.
Season 5
Ole Johan has extravagant ideas for his wedding. Feeling sidelined, Pørni joins Bjørnar for a few shifts with the child emergency services department.
