The Little Lulu Show is an animated television series, based on the Marjorie Henderson Buell comic book character Little Lulu. The show was produced by CINAR Animation after Marge's death in 1993, and aired on HBO Family and Cartoon Network in the United States and on, CTV, and the Family Channel in Canada from 1995 to 1999. In Canada, reruns are currently being shown on both the English and French versions of Teletoon Retro. The series centered on the life and adventures of Lulu Moppet and Tubby Thompkins. Between stories, they showed stand-up comedy that Lulu hosted.
This show is not to be confused with Little Lulu and Her Little Friends, an anime TV series featuring the same characters made in 1976.
Seasons
Season 1
Green Girl: Lulu wants to sail her boat in the bathtub, but the water isn't green enough. So she uses all of Mrs. Moppet's green ink in the water. The next day, Lulu's skin is completely green, and she becomes a celebrity, until Mrs. ns Moppets learns the truth.
Rainy Day Tag: It's raining, and Lulu and Tubby both claim to each other over the phone that they have colds. To make the other feel better, they go over to the other's house, until finally they all bump into each other on the street.
Beautiful Lulu: Lulu is depressed after overhearing Tubby tell the other boys that she's the homeliest girl in the world. Mrs. Moppet shows her how silly boys can be when she dolls up Lulu and sends her outside. The boys discover this beautiful new stranger and get territorial over her.
Season 2
Cannon Ball Boy: Tubby, Willie, and Iggie put on a new stunt, Tubby is ""Cannon Ball Boy"". He steps inside a wooden cannon, the cannon fires, and he's seen minutes later underneath a target. Lulu suspects a trick, so she moves the cannon, and later Tubby never comes down. It turns out that Tubby reappeared via an underground tunnel.
Noses Off: Mr. Van Snobbe buys his wife a new antique statue with the nose broken off. Lulu shoots an arrow through Wilbur's window, and he blames Lulu for breaking the statue, which she accidentally does when she causes Wilbur to trip. Lulu glues it back together Picaso style, and Mrs. Van Snobbe. Mr. Van Snobbe pays Lulu for fixing the statue.
Hairy Day: Mr. Moppet wishes he had a full head of hair again, so Lulu and Tubby wip up a new potion that grows hair on anything it touches (even their hands). Mr. Moppet is happy with his new hairy head, but a defect happens when the hair won't stop growing. So Lulu and Tubby wip up and antidote, and Mr. Moppet is b
Season 3
The Haunted House: Tubby and the fellers dare Lulu to enter an empty house, which is known to be haunted. That night, Lulu complies, while Lulu enters the house, Tubby and the fellers dress up in sheets to pose as ghost. They hide in a closet, and when Iggie accidentally yells before time, Lulu runs out, and hide behind a tree, when she hears the fellers making fun of her, she puts 2 and 2 together, so she has Annie pose as the ghost of the house, and the fellers freak out.
The Lucky Gold Piece: Mr. Moppet loses his lucky gold piece, and he has been struck with nothing but bad luck, he stumbed his toe, bumbed his head, and cut his face shaving. He even falls into a chocolate cake Mrs. Moppet baked for him. Lulu is sent to pick up another cake, but when she is asked to accompany Annie to the dentist: she has Tubby deliver the cake. Tubby then takes the cake to the club, where he, Iggie, and Willie eat the whole cake. Once Lulu explains the situation, Tubby makes a mud cake and passes it
